Bio

The Presszó Tangó Libidó band was founded in autumn 2005 by Viktor Kabai, Bence
Lajkó and János Keszei. The first concert of the formation of guitar, accordion and trumpet
took place in ‘Pótklucs’ (a cult-club in Budapest, the word means spare key in Hungarian) at
springtime in 2006. After a year two new members joined the band, Zoltán Aknay drummer
of other two Hungarian bands (Ketto ketto and Sajnosbatár) and a bassist Gergo Török (he
can be heard in Ketto ketto band too just as Zoltán).
Supplemented with the two new members the band has been giving concerts over the
past seven years. In the first few years they started playing in smaller clubs, cultic places of
Budapest, then came the countryside of Hungary and Transylvania.
The first album of the band was published in 2011. The album is a summary of the
determining songs of recent times. It is almost two CD-long with 74 minutes of recorded
songs on it, has the title East Central European (Keletközépeurópai in Hungarian) that refers
to the lyrics a lot.
After playing regularly for seven years now in Budapest the band also got better and better
opportunities and invitations to bigger hungarian music based and culture based festivals as
well.
In the past half year the Presszó Tangó Libidó made their first videoclip from a
instrumental song titled Boogie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0qLYHCaQyE), made
several concerts on festivals and in clubs, played on an opening party of a new concert hall
and club of Budapest and also gave concert in Szentendre on new years eve.
The spring passed by recording the second album that is released in the end of April.
The band is really waiting for the feedbacks of their audience, and waiting for summer as well
that is going to pass with many concerts on festivals and smaller events around Hungary.
There is quite a great evidence for them that they are becoming a more and more
beloved band from recent time. A summer music Festival called Pannónia made a voting
game for the future visitors so actually voters made the line-up. The framework was that the
audience could vote on 5 bands that they wanted to see on the Festival, and the first 50 band
won the opportunity to give a concert. The Presszó Tangó Libidó reached the 15th place
among all the bands.
