"Pretty Little Suicide Music Review"

Pretty Little Suicide is a moderately heavy guitar dominated rock band originating from Boston, Massachusetts. While I enjoyed all of Pretty Little Suicide’s songs, the song that really caught my attention and captured my interest was “Working man Blues.” The song starts with a guitar solo followed by catchy hooks and riffs along with very sing-able melodies that pull you in. The song consists of lead single vocals and a dual harmonizing chorus. Employing equal amounts of precision and intensity, Pretty Little Suicide consistently creates a modern day electric blues sound that gives them a very distinctive original sound. - RocknRollica.com

"Rocklahoma - Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Rock"

These guys played in the hottest (I mean HOTTEST, it had to be 100 plus degrees in there) stage on site. They were suffering from horrible allergies. They blew me away. These boys are good! I can’t wait to see them when they all are at 100% and feeling great. - Sonic Shocks

"PLS in Classic Rock Magazine and on Classic Rock compilation..."

"With a sound that spans three decades, Boston-based Pretty Little Suicide are a classic glam band with a classic glam band back-story: after recording just one song, the band sparked off a record label bidding war. Get in on the ground floor while you can." - Classic Rock Magazine (July 2010)

"Welcome to Rocklahoma 2011's Final Day"

"We arrive just in time to catch the band I wanted to see on Friday, Pretty Little Suicide.  I've seen the guys once before at Rock n America last year, and they are great.  Not only are they a great band, but they're a great group of guys.  This year, they are between singers, but guitarist Ed Earle does a superb job filling in on vocal duties.  Makes me wonder if they really need to look for anyone else.  The songs sounded good and just as strong, if not more so than the CD.  Fortunately, there was a decent size crowd in the Retrospect tent to catch the guys.  Anybody that missed out, missed a great performance.  Another band that I'm sure will be asked back next year, and should not be missed."

"The Rocklahoma Review"

The first band to take the Retrospect Stage was Pretty Little Suicide. As soon as they got on stage, you could feel the energy rising. And when they began to play their set I knew why. These rockers from Boston, MA have a unique but familiar rock that makes you want more and more. They manage to mix their influences such as GNR with their own modern rock style and add talent and dedication to their show that’s undeniable. Mike Patton comes together with his guitar as one, while Izzy Rock the drummer creates a drum line explosion of power. J.C.s bass line is a guitar wave that brings it all home as Ed Earle of Los Angelos melts you with vocals that you don’t just hear but you feel, head to toe!! AWESOME show! These guys played Fryday and again SunFunday we wanted MORE! I had a chance to visit with them in an on camera interview and I can tell you right now, these guys are here to stay and rock your world! You can get their self titled Debut CD now all over the net.

My festivals favorites this year were so amazing to see live in Rocklahoma form. Art of Dying, SKILLET, Black Label Society, Firstryke, Gypsy Pistoleros, Hinder, and Rev Theory and Pretty Little Suicide. Yep that’s them. Bucket list…Check, Check. - Kick Acts Magazine

"Pretty Little Suicide EP Review"

Pretty Little Suicide is a band from Boston, MA and they remind me of my youth misspent. Most of my youth was spent jerking off to porn ....buffering....buffering....98% complete. I used to listen to music while jerking off for two reasons: 1) the louder the music the less my parents bothered me and 2) with my severe ADD I had to occupy my time while waiting for naked Photoshopped pictures of Larisa Oleynik. Yes, I realize it wasn't her body it was just her head, but I was 13 and didn't care.

Anyway, those times I learned a lot about Motley Crue, Poison, Guns N' Roses and Ratt. I hold a special place in my heart for the 80s glam and Sunset Strip sleaze that dominated that era and I love throw back bands that modernize that sound. Here is where Pretty Little Suicide comes in.

Pretty Little Suicide's self titled EP starts out with Working Man Blues which is a great head nodding, fist pumping drinking song about refusing to give into "Da Man." The song has an Izzy Stradlin like blues guitar riff with the Adler like thump drum beat that rips the listener through. The guitar solos are delightfully refined, but tight rope the fine line between chaos. Big choruses and harmony easily create a sing along chorus that with two or four drinks in your system will have you wrapping your arm around your buddy and singing along with the band.

The production harnesses the band's raw viscosity and high velocity drive toward bedlam. This EP showcases this band's love of partying, stealing girlfriends, and ripping your face off. Who doesn't love that trio of titillation?

One of the best tracks on the EP is Pretty Little Suicide. I know what you are thinking, a band that writes a song that uses the band name is a huge faux pas. Well fuck you squirrel cunt, this song is awesome. The introspective lyrics about drug abuse with a thicker, ponderous sound make this the perfect finishing song. The whole EP seems to build toward this song.

Pretty Little Suicide have created a memorable glam rock record that is steeped in the annals of glam, but still adds a contemporary facet. I can't help but give this album five dripping pussies out of five because it will get the ladies purring and ready for your racecar bed with enough alcohol. You won't have to work too hard after listening to this EP. I can't wait to hear more from Pretty Little Suicide. - Blogsnroses.com

"Pretty Little Suicide - Pretty Little Suicide (EP)"

Be sensible now, start at track 1 and listen sequentially through to track 5.
Seems obvious I know, but track 5, 'Pretty Little Suicide' is immense, and the visceral thrill it creates works better as a climactic close to this EP.

As I write, Pretty Little Suicide are playing Rocklahoma, headlined by Motley Crue and Whitesnake. It's another step forward for a band who're on the edge of "making it".
They gained a few headlines in the rock press a while back when the legendary Beau Hill discovered the band and insisted on producing and mixing the debut album.
They'd already recorded a handful of tracks. These have now been remixed by Hill. Ahead of the full album, this EP is the result.

PLS don't go anywhere new. They are visibly and audibly influenced by G'n'R, Poison, Motley Crue and others class acts who were in the vanguard of eighties' sleaze/glam melodic rock and whose currency remains relatively intact today.
You can hear them all, sometimes all at once on attractively derivative openers, 'Working Man Blues' and 'Hollywood Moonlight'.
The lightweight 'KMAG' is maybe a bit too reverential, but 'Cope', a song that deals with drug dependency, is a substantial stab at creating something original and is a welcome contribution to the genre's resurgence.
Title track, 'Pretty Little Suicide' continues the drug theme, adding a gothic wash and a heavier production to a cracking little pop metal anthem, exhorting the protagonist to face down her addiction.
It's a magnificently apposite end to a promising taster, and if the band are to write more like this for the full length debut, we're in for a treat. - Revelationz.net
