After earning a degree, Paul drove to Mexico to think about what to do next. There he cleaned out an old adobe by a spring and began to think and write songs in seclusion. When he returned to his home in Austin, he shared the songs he had been working on with a long time friend and fellow musician Nathan Stein. The two of them had been playing music together for many years in various projects, and were excited to work with some new ideas for this project. With the help of their friends, they finished an album under the title PRICE.
