Not only writing music, the 22-year-old is looking to raise enough funds to help her start recording her tracks.
Kemi, known as Princess Kemz, who grew up in Stratford and East Ham, said writing was her “passion” but has switched to recording music.
“I’m trying to get my music business going because I like to sing and rap.
“I want to raise funds for my music so I can get in the studio.”
She has been invited to perform in the World Championships of Performing Arts competition in Hollywood.
“It’s is a chance to compete against people from all over the world, performing in front of music industry judges and a chance to win a scholarship,” she said.
Kemi has been writing music since she was 16, but only started getting more serious five years ago.
“I went through a personal trauma, so I decided to write poems which I then turned into raps.I do want to start singing more, but I’ve not had any vocal training, although I have applied for shows like the Voice and Britain’s Got Talent.” - Jacob Ranson

Bio
Princess Kemz, birth name Kemi, born December 15th 1993. A new rising talent. 23 years old from the heart of East London. Kemz is currently in education at Anglia Ruskin University studying performing arts. She has been involved in various open mics and festivals around Shore-ditch, Camden, Cambridge and London, has auditioned and competed for competitions such as The Voice UK and Britain’s got Talent and Open Mic UK where she placed as a regional finalist. She also won 1st place in an online music video showcase with Coast2Coast Live. Has been invited to perform in Hollywood for the World championships of performing arts competition as a national finalist, she is currently working on her first album 'Buzz'
Before music she experienced a personal trauma which made her start to write, she would compose poetic writing about her experiences, she found that writing helped her to express herself in a way she couldn't before. Started rapping at a young age. She would compose short silly raps for fun. A few years later she became more serious about her music and started turning her poetic writing into raps. She also found a passion for singing and started including it in her songs. Singing, for Kemz is a more intimate place for her. Its where she feels vulnerable and is a place where she can lose herself in the music.
