Biography

Primal Point's unique, world influenced sound consisting of intricate rhythmic variations, improvisation and "soul"fully inspired melodies with a strong, positive message began with the writing and arranging of singer/guitarist, Andy Sperandeo and has transformed into a very powerful trio/quartet exploring the boundaries of musical expression.

To play inspiring and powerful music is just a part of what this group is about. There is also a positive stand for humanity in the lyrics of each song. You can get an idea of that message from song titles such as: “Patience”, Faith”, “Honesty”, “In the Moment of Now”, etc., and from their upcoming CD release entitled, “Inspire”. “There are choices to make every second of our lives. Choose the path of possibility.”

Lyrics

Tell Me what you Really Think

Written By: Andy Sperandeo

I see this building start to crumble,
Knock down these walls.
And I hear the sound of fallen victims,
Falling for a cause.

Chorus one:
But you say, “no”
“It’s not so bad oh no”
I say no
Don’t you hear the sound outside your door knocking?

Excuse me I feel a sickness coming.
Can’t be here now.
Can you even tell the difference
Between down and out?

Chorus two:
Tell me why
Do we always choose a side?
And tell me why
When your eyes look just like mine.

Your motives are unclear to me.
Let us speak of things beneath.
Tell me, what runs through your mind?
Will you show it’s not all lies?

Chorus three:
Tell me why
Do we always choose a side?
And tell me why
When your eyes look just like mine.

Stares Out Blindly

Written By: Andy Sperandeo

So Hush, don’t say a word to me.
And hush, don’t say a thing to me at all.

Chorus:
Just take the time, look in my eyes
And tell me what you’ll find.
Is it what you believed or were you blinded
by your mind?

And look, don’t be so quick to judge me
And look, don’t insist on looking through me

Chorus:

Tempted by the world outside but so empty inside.

They say that we’re basically all the same,
I know but……
They say to treat everyone the same,
I know but…..
They say lots of things.
It makes it hard to hear the silence ring.
They know lots of things.
We contradict ourselves most everyday.

I said not you, not me, but we
Contradict ourselves most everyday.
I said not you, not me, but we
Must learn not to stare out blindly.

Will you take the time, look deep inside, don’t stare out? Don’t stare out!!
Will you take the time, look deep inside, don’t stare out? Don’t stare out,
Blindly.

Patience

Written By: Andy Sperandeo

So I’ll wait
beyond this gate.
I stare at faces in the clouds above as I wait.
There seems to be a pattern in the sky as it’s getting so late.

Chorus one:
So I cast a stone at your window sill
But no answer comes so I’ll wait, wait here still
‘cause I hear voices and they’re saying, “Please Wait”
“Won’t you wait”? “Will you go on waiting, go on waiting here”

So I’ll pray
to find my way.
I struggle through his corridor as I pray.
And I slowly chip away at concrete doors.
Is there another, another way?

Chorus two:
As I inhale these words I’ll try not to think.
Instead I’ll let the wind catch my sail, pull me in.
And as I take a breath I feel a chill across my tired face.
And when the wind won’t blow I will wait here, wait here still.
(oh, yes I will) go on waiting here.

Solo:

So I’ll try
To keep my dreams alive, alive
And I’ll to keep a fire burning,
burning in the night.

Chorus three:
I place my hands in the fire once again.
And I put my trust, in the Faith I will depend.
Sometimes the flames, they take me back
And burn my very, burn my very soul.
Sometime near, sometimes far from ever,
ever being told.

But I will go on. Yes I will go on. And I must go on.
Go on waiting here.
