Bio

Primary Element is an eclectic alternative hip-hop group based out of DMV. From their high school music room to their self made home studios, this Maryland bread trio has developed a unique sound that is sure to catch your attention. With extensive music backgrounds the group is primarily inspired by kool-aid and various musical artists like: Kid Cudi, A Tribe Called Quest, The Neptunes and many others. In the summer of 2009, Primary Element released their first self produced and distributed project, "Lost in a Dream," to the general public. Although the fan base consisted only of their high school classmates, the alarmingly positive reaction made it clear Primary Element had major potential. The release of their sophomore album "Hello World" in the spring of 2010 increased the fan base significantly, especially at the members prospective universities (Penn State, Capital University and Catholic University of America). A more developed sound, enhanced lyrical content, and an expanding fan base, Primary Element created a huge buzz in the college music scene with hit singles "Hello World" and "Swagg Switch." Now a part of the "College Hip-Hop" movement, the trio has a reputation for delivering high energy performances, positivity in their music, and bring true hip-hop back to the game. Appearances in music magazines, headling with rising star, Mac Miller and teaming up with clothing lines "Glimpse," and "Graphiq Nachure Clothing," to release their own line of tee shirts are among the group's many accomplishments. With their third project, "Ambition," dropping February 2011, the unwavering grind of Primary Element will ensure them further success in the future.
