Joining forces to create their own distinct and unique rock sound that is “Primitive Junction,” are the fusion of three multi-talented and seasoned musicians, composers and professional performers: Marlex, Roy and Renee. With the combination of each of their own individual backgrounds within the international club and concert circuit, audiences will experience "Primitive Junction's" electrifying sound pulsating deep within the soul, through each dynamic performance.
Marlex – Numerous clubs and venues throughout California; performing in various bands ranging from rock, jazz and pop; multi-talented and gifted songwriter/composer.
Roy – Internationally acclaimed professional bass guitiarist and musician; performed with various professional bands throught numerous clubs and venues, including rock guitarist, Gary Perez of “Sampaquita” and “URD-1”.
Renee – Performed with professional acts such as Juan Dela Cruz Band, Anak Bayan Band, Mike Franopol, Joey Smith, Wally Gonzalez, Edmund Furtuno. It was with the collaboration of rock guitar legend, Gary Perez in “Sampaguita”, that both of the bands’ albums for CBS/Sony and Nilsan Productions hit platinum. This eventually set the path to playing major concert halls and coliseums, opening for such major acts as Eric Clapton, Chuck Berry, Blood Sweat and Tears, Paul Williams. Played for Hawaii’s number one rock/wave diva, Sonia Mendez, at Waikiki’s “The Wave”. Made the nightclub circuits of San Diego with his band “Aura” and for several years, played the Los Angeles circuit with the “Beat Club” before moving to the Bay Area. It was here that he was once again reunited with Gary Perez for their band “URD-1” and “Gary’s Project”, performing throughout the state of Washington.
