Jamaican born and raised Anla Samuels known to the world of music as Princess Anla started her singing career in the schools and churches she attended. Her passion and love of the art form throughout the years has driven her to become a professional singer/songwriter at a young age. Princess Anla has shared the stage with many international artists and is also a highly sought after back up singer by major artists such as Luciano, Queen Ifrica and Frankie Paul to name a few. Princess Anla is often requested to open shows for international artists when they grace the stages in Canada and she is consistently invited to perform on festivals on a regular basis. Each year is marked as a year of success for Princess Anla, she has remained one of Toronto’s top female artists with many hit singles such as Love me, Don’t Walk Away, Only Love and Zion. Princess Anla has been nominated for the Best Female Artist, Most Promising New Artist and Best New Single (for Zion) at the Canadian Reggae Music Achievement Awards. Princess Anla earned the Top Artist award at Toronto’s Prestigious Go Hard Or Go Home competition in 2010 where she won the contest over many of the Province's top upcoming artists with leading international record label judges.
