"Motown's New Urban Prince Princeton"

When Princeton hit the streets of Motown on scholarship to Wayne State University, it seemed like the time flashed forward on the stopwatch clocking his success. He went from performing for small crowds in dimly-lit venues to shining on the stage opening for major stars. Now Princeton is stepping out in front of thousands at 106 & Park to show that he’s ready to be a major head- liner.
“I started singing when I was little kid and I knew that I always wanted to be an artist; I just didn’t know how to go about it” Princeton explains.
After receiving scholarship offers in music from NYU, Berkeley and Wayne State, he decided to try his
high school and not taking it serious so it’s great to see kids taking it serious. I would like to be able to help them let them know that education is what will get them out.”
Princeton isn’t forgetting to keep his education first. While on the road he is taking classes to finish his de- gree.
“When I finish I will have my bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in entertainment busi- ness.”
So what’s next for this new urban pop art- ist? For now, a shot to amaze the masses at 106 & Park with his per- formance Wednesday, May 11.
“You’re going to get the same high energy from any other Princ- eton performance,” he pledges. “I’m very hon- ored to go out and rep- resent for so many peo- ple. I feel like I have a lot on my shoulders but I’m going to hold it down.”

luck in the Motor City where he believed his talent would flourish under the blessings of past legends.
“I feel like it was where I needed to be to get the whole experience,” he said.
Like many other artists he is grinding as a song writ- er and producer taking his career into his own hands. In November of 2009 he decided to show his scholastic side creating the FLIGHT Tour, performing with Detroit artists such as Lady Te and Stretch Money. The FLIGHT Tour (Following Life Into Gratifying Heights Triumphantly) allows these artists to speak to high school students about the importance of their education. “It’s motivating for me to be to be able to encourage students", Princeton said. - Michigan Front Page
