Bio

Private Pile all started in the summer of 2003, when writer, and avid punk fan, Ethan Bello had the idea of spreading his words through the art of music. Initially, all he had was a notebook and a few musically talented family members and friends. So, Ethan recorded a few rough songs with his cousin, John Maiorino. Upon entering his sophmore year at James Madison High School, Ethan decided he wanted to take Private Pile more seriously, and decided to add a few official members. He asked his friends Scott Chappell, Adam Torkel, and Christos Haretopolous, to join. Adam quickly discovered experienced drummer, Steven Bartashev, and the all new Private Pile was born. They began practicing in Steven's garage. Initially they only had a few covers, and a few original punk songs, which was enough to play some shows. After a few months, Guitarist Christos left the band for personal reasons. Ricky Demetro, a friend of Adam's, asked to try out for the new guitar slot. His trying out was a sucess, as he had become the newest member of the group. The band would than play even more shows, develop a sound, and write new songs. Eventually, guitarist and close friend Scott Chappell would have to be let go from the band, in the summer of 07' for personal complications. However, Ethan's brother J. Zach Bello, a well experienced musician, would take on the roll of guitarist, and complete the current line up of Private Pile. The band went from being a basic punk band, and evolved into a very unique, eclectic, and versatile, proffesional group. Private Pile has been working on their first full length Album, called "The Monster that Walked the Earth!", scheduled to come out sometime around April '09.
