Bio
Prabir Bhattacharjee, son of Sri Paresh Ch. Bhattacharjee a musician and my favorite instrument is Sitar which is specially known as Indian Instrument and latest figure of oldest instrument of Vina consisting seven main strings and 13 helping resonance strings. Since my boyhood I saw my mother played Sitar which attracted me and I was introduced with that instrument primarily by my mother and subsequently I came under touch of Guru Pandit Nikhil Bhaduri who trained me for 5 years on Indian Classical Music. Pandit Bhaduri became physically unable due to his old age. Now I am a young man of 30 years and I wanted to earn livelihood by playing Sitar. In our locality Indian Classical Musical programmes are being conducted which are numbered for which to get chance to play Sitar is being difficult and I am unable to express myself and my dreams.. With kind permission of my Guru I came under contact of internationally famous Sitar Player Pandit Kushal Das and since then I have been trained under his kind training. Total training period is 10 years. By this time I performed on Indian Classical Music on some stages and worked as accompanist in some cultural programmes
