Justin Tyson, Nozomi Yamaguchi, David Ginyard, M. Jelani Brooks, Patriq Moody and Victor Gould began playing music together in Boston, MA while attending Berklee College of Music. Though they met in the academic classroom, the 6 musicians found a common interest in their particular musical style. With a mixture of R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Funk and Rock, the music fits into a category of its own. The group began playing weekly at Wally’s Jazz Club in Boston, creating an environment for young musicians to gather, laugh, talk and play the music together in a jam session environment. With the band members playing for musical names such as Jessie J, Raekwon, Tyrese, David Fiuczynski, Me'shell Ndegeocello, and Estelle, it is no surprise that they turn average listeners into die-hard fans whenever they play. The band is heavily influenced by a variety of artists such as J Dilla, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Little Dragon, Eric Dolphy, Roland Kirk, God’s Property, Radiohead and Roy Hargrove. With such an eclectic, emotional, and unique musical sound, it is likely by the end of a show, the listeners will have laughed, cried, danced, and are always left wanting more.
