Bio
Professor Toon is a Baltimore, MD native but Durham is his home and refuge. Professor Toon had a rough start early in life. He was the subject of child abuse while being a witness to his mother's abusive marriage and subsequent divorce. After moving to NC with her to start over, he accumulated a history of life lessons that are the driving force behind his forceful writing and relentless live performance.
Over the past two years Professor Toon has performed on the Main Stage of the Hopscotch Music Festival, featured on NPR and has most recently performed on Moogfest sharing the stage with the likes of Tori Lanez, Denzel Curry and GZA. Professor Toon has also capitalized on opportunities to open for notable national touring acts such as Juicy J,Big Sean, Meek Mill, Project Pat, Valient Thorr, Mike Stud, Lil Dicky, MGK, Run The Jewels and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
