Bio

What started out as 2 co-workers, each in their own respective bands, getting together to write and record some new music quickly turned into “We may have something here” after the dust settled and the music was heard. Scott Bond, the former guitarist for Icos(Slipdisc/Mercury) and Free Pitts (Singer/Songwriter) decided to keep writing songs together while playing in their other bands, Aether and Curbside Life.
Heavily influenced by all genres of music, “Project Free” is best described as hard hitting Modern Rock filled with melodic hooks and riffs for the soul. Their music supplies the key that will unlock every day emotions for all ages. The music is a diary filled with all the good and bad of life’s highest high’s and lowest low’s.
With a full length CD on its way, songs like “Numb” and Let’s Stop Pretending” are already making a splash. The songs have been aired via Satellite Radio and will be featured in an upcoming independent movie due out in 2007. Though the band is new, they are not green to the stage. They have been involved in many successful projects. Guitarist Scott Bond once recorded an album at the famous Abbey Road studios in London. Free Pitts song “Lost” was handpicked by famous author Augusten Burroughs for the Sony Motion Picture “Running with Scissors” only to be cut because the director went with Period Music.
