PROPS!

Props is a native of Indiapolis, Indiana but now a transplant to the grey skies of the Northwest residing in Seattle, Washington. After relocating Props didn’t let a new region be a barrier to his music as he quickly linked up with local legend DJ Rocaphella to host his first release “To Marz”. A mix of short tracks and freestyles the project was a grand introduction to an artist not just superior in talent to local artists but even comparable popular artists that have had continued success. Standout is his attention to detail as you can tell his influences were a wide array of artists which he finds influence from. You mix that with a catchy voice, good rhymes, easy on the ears flow, and it makes the word potential instant. New year new project and why not follow it from one legend to the next as he lines himself up with Vitamin D for hosting duties for the second round. Filled with more full songs this go around “To Marz Volume 2” is another stepping stone for Props who at this speed will be soaring to Pluto.

For those of you who missed out on Props show last weekend, Our homie Props will be performing this weekend at RPS! Show starts at 8:30pm.
PROPS is a newly emerged artist into hip hop’s fresh wave of style, creativity and lyricism. An Indianapolis, IN native, PROPS is surely one of hip hop’s most promising artists of this era. Currently residing in Seattle, WA, this gifted songwriter has been quietly mastering his craft and laying the frame work to uplift, inform, and introduce new perspective on the ups and downs of everyday life. Functioning as co-owner and the first artist on his label, The Planet of MARz, PROPS is about as ambitious as they come. Living in cities such as Indianapolis, Atlanta, Miami, and Seattle has groomed this young artist to be very well rounded, open minded, and culturally diverse; proven to be a good listen for audiences of all backgrounds. - 2.21.11 : Jung Wanye

Originally from Indianapolis, PROPS has quickly become one of the most promising young artists in the Seattle area. His style, creativity and lyricism has helped PROPS carve a name for himself in Seattle’s fast-rising local hip-hop scene. Since releasing his first mix-tape-To MARz-in 2010, PROPS has opened for the likes of Devin the Dude and Too Short, among others.

PROPS will be performing a free live show on Saturday, February 26th at Rock Paper Scissors sneaker boutique on Capital Hill. DJ Vitamin D will be on-hand and International Mo will also be performing. Rock Paper Scissors will be holding a raffle during the show, with the winner taking home their choice of sneakers from the store and Xbox Guitar Hero going home with the second place winner.
