The CD "Protes Giortes" (First Celebrations) is the second album by John Michailidis. Preceded the "Ta Dyskola" with the band "To Stoichima" (1997-independent, re-released simultaneously, also from the ANO KATO, with catalog number AK6031) and the participation of the song "Anases" with "ATIA" after contest in CD «Next big thing», published by the magazine "Pop & Rock" (1998). - anokato.gr

Entering their third and most mature period of their 12 year career, “Protes Giortes” establish their existence as a whole perception, a project having music in their roots and cause, in a modern, multiethnic, Balkan music show. As a band with extra energy, appear as trio or quartet, frequently meeting the unique, internationally famous Lydia Filipovic as a special guest. Baptized in the full of energy, rhythmic & melodic riches of Balkans, presenting songs from the discography of G.Mihailidis, new material, Balkan songs, rembetika & modern songs which blossom into a special event and a unique experience.
