"Hey this is awesome!"
Artist of the Day- November 17th, 2006 - SPIN
"A good band knows how to sing their troubles—breaking up with the girl or dealing with the stupid boss being stupid again—but if they’re really good, they can make their song my own. Protokoll is one of these really good bands. They’re a Newer Order, a more Joyous Division, a more lived-in Bauhaus." - Boston's Weekly Dig
"Protokoll is the best band to come from Boston since the Pixies." - Paul D (WFNX)
"Protokoll is my tip for 2006." - Steve Lamacq
"Successfully applying their ear for a new wave melody to a much eerier post-punk background, it's a formula which has that all-important crossover appeal.- www.LeonardsLair.co.uk - Leonard's Lair
‘DNR’ arrives on an urgent drumbeat, with frantic blasts of guitar setting the scene for Jose De Lara’s forceful and commanding vocal that could pass for one of Bob Mould’s less incensed moments.
Despite the '80s new wave raw, arty approach, B-Side ‘In the Fall’ is most definitely punk rock, immediately evoking some the best in American DIY-aesthetic underground.
This may be one of those rare occasions where the hype is justified, as Protokoll are certainly one of the more interesting groups to have risen above the crowd recently. - Manchester Evening News
"This band is GREAT! We love them!!" - Zane Lowe
"Seen too many mediocre bands playing complacent gigs to people too young, dumb and full of cider to know hype from talent? Go see Protokoll. They will give you all theyve got. Then theyll giftwrap it, walk you to your car, help you load your boot, refuse a tip and smile while you run over their foot on the way out."
- Disorder Magazine
"Future stars. Steve Lamacq already loves them... and you will too!"
- NME
"If this is the sound of 2007, then we can look forward to an ultra-slick and mega-loud New Year, ACE!" - The Fly
