"So so so good!"

When the PROTOTYPES played in the USA so many people came to me and told me they loved them! This band is so so GOOD!
Here is an archive you can listen to now of when the Prototypes played (USA RADIO) WFMU-NJ/NYC

"Musical chairs"

“I love Joni Mitchell,” says Prototypes bassist Stéphane Bodin. It’s a surprising admission for those who know the French trio for their 2004 debut album, Tout le monde cherche quelque chose à faire, and its shit-kicking electropunk single, “Danse sur la merde.” But acoustic guitars and harmonica, along with the riffs, rhythms and organ trills of ’50s and ’60s rock ’n’ roll, rule the school on Mutants Médiatiques, the effervescent and ever-danceable new Prototypes LP.

- Lorraine Carpenter (Montréal Mirror)

"Vive la Différence!"

In the wake of the New Rock revolutions, elegant new things from Brest to nice have taken to forming garage rock bands. (…) Particularily fun are (…) the throwaway Pop of Prototypes’ Je ne te Connais pas. Vive la différence!
(Review for Compilation Nouveau Rock and Roll Français) - London Evening Standard (UK)

"Ahead of the pack!"

From the sound of this sampler, there is a whole lot more going on in France than MC Solaar and NTM (…). Particular lovelies on this collection are Men on the Moon and Prototypes – with their witty, loose and raw material they sound so far ahead of the pack.
(Review form the Comp Nouveau Rock and Roll Français) - Music Week (UK)

"Unruly and Insolent"

Unruly bands benefit from France’s insolence : (…) Prototypes offer their fuzzy , 1960’s girl-punk stomp of Je ne te Connais pas.

- London Sunday Times (UK)

"French rock and roll arrogance"

9th April 2005 @Club Motherfucker -Scanners-The Organ-Les Prototypes-Lesbians On Ecstasy

Les Prototypes took the stage and warmed it up. These four French guys showed us what french rock’n’roll arrogance was at its best, speaking their mother language to introduce their songs and wriggling their asses like fishes. The audience appeared very enthusiastic and it reacted very well to their performance, cheering them and dancing on all the way through their show. When came their song ‘Dance sur la merde qui passe à la radio’ (which means dance on the crap that is broadcast on the radio), everyone was sweating with pleasure. The blonde lady Singer perfectly brought her own personality and acid vocals/lyrics to the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s influenced guitar riffs.

Bio

PROTOTYPES is a french band located in Paris. Created in 2003 by both members of BOSCO (S. Bodin et F. Marché) and singer/performer BUBBLE STAR (I. Le Doussal), PROTOTYPES makes a joyful and hybrid music, sexily sung in French, mixing altogether the many influences of the band : from electro-pop, 60’s rythms, folky guitars and sometimes a punk crunch to add to the equation! Their first album "Tout le monde cherche quelque chose à faire" brought them all around France, Canada, Germany, England and in the Northeast of the US. They were among the heavily played albums of 2004 on WFMU and were featured on many year-end top 10. Their new album " Mutants Médiatiques" is just released in France and Canada. Prototypes released his first US album on June 6 2006, out on Minty Fresh Records (www.mintyfresh.com).
