Bio

Deriving his name from the biblical book Proverbs, “Pro’Verb” has a mind for change and a heart for music. Considered a creative thinker by many, his motives have always been consistent; taking the music industry by storm without compromising his beliefs or conforming to the industry norm. His savvy concepts and clever punch lines decorate his east coast influenced style like none other.
Growing up in a religious household, and being the son of a minister definitely had an influence on his message and mentality. He began rapping and songwriting at the age of 13 in Nashville, TN. Years later due to the divorce of his parents he moved to Washington, D.C. area, where he continued to perfect his craft and pursue a career in music. While attending Largo High School, he met his future producer Johnie Steele and developed a group by the name of “The Accused”, which featured another MC, “D’Effect”, and a vocalist by the name of “Love”. After the reconstruction and eventual demise of “The Accused”, he began working on his first solo album, Pro’s & Con’s.
While frequently performing throughout the metropolitan area, he began to make a name for himself. Through his work with youth at a local YMCA, he met Devin Gross a.k.a. “Nick L. Bagg” with whom he began recording music with from time to time. Through that relationship, he decided to sign on with Mid East Records and is currently working on re-recording his debut album. Pro’s first single “What’s that Sound” is currently blazing the clubs and he is definitely preparing to show everyone exactly what it means to be a “pro” in the game.
