Proximity was formed in late 2002 in Boulder, Colorado by Grafik and Provoke who have known each other since middle school. In 2005 they released their freshman album, “Proximity Minds” selling over 500 copies in the first year. Shortly after, Proximity headlined at The Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado with a sold out crowd. Dj-JSteele, Grafik's brother joined the group in 2006. In early 2008 they released their sophomore album, “When Push Comes to Shove”. Both albums are currently for sale and doing well at Independent Records, cdbaby.com and Bart’s Cd Cellar in Boulder. Proximity is currently working on their junior album expected to release in 2010. With their conscious lyrics, complex rhymes and melodic beats; Proximity is sure to captivate the listener!
Proximity has shared the stage with national acts such as Nas, Immortal Technique, Jurassic 5, Swollen Members, Aesop Rock, RJD2, Digital Underground and many more!!
