Bio

Kwasi Semper also known as Pryme City found his love for music in the summer of 2004. Born and raised in the Bronx where times were hard, and the options was to either hustle or make something out of life. Growing up in such a harsh environment music seems like the only exit. During high school Pryme acknowledged his passion for music & decided to pursue a career as a Hip-Hop artist at the age of 16. Things began moving slowly in New York, so Pryme City decided to relocate in North Carolina for a fresh start. During his stay in North Carolina a well known local act by the name of “Basco” acknowledged the potential Pryme had. After a few ciphers, “Basco” was interested in a collaboration which helped Pryme accumulate a buzz in the Carolina region. Pryme City’s debut mix-tape “All or Nothing” helped generate a loyal fan base which eventually gave him the opportunity to perform at clubs such as “Chocolate City”, “Club 910”, “City Limits”, & “The Carolina Lounge”. “Music is my hustle, my daily grind, I’ll die for this”. After realizing music evolves over time, Pryme decided to grow with it & has music that appeals to everybody.

While receiving positive feedback from listeners Pryme City constantly searched for the next step to take in his career. While looking for more opportunities to expand, he received a phone call from a child hood friend who now represents artist & offered his services back in New York. Pryme City accepted & relocated back to the Bronx. Upon his arrival he offered his childhood friend “T-Boogie” to become his personal manager. Without hesitation “T-Boogie” lined up studio sessions for Pryme City. He also set up multiple appearances for him at “The Producers Club, Theater House” and for “Rohan Entertainment” as well as performing at “Club Element”. With his much anticipated mix-tape “Road to Riches: Traffic Jam” prepping to drop late fall, Pryme City continues to strive to make it in the music industry. His hunger is undeniable which gives him the confidence to believe that he is destined to succeed. “When I make it, I will put the Bronx back on the map, I’m on the Road to Riches, its either Now Or Never”.
