Chris Vance is a 27-year old hip-hop artist, party host and event coordinator hailing from South Philadelphia. The co-leader of the Phlight School collective, Vance has spent the last several years performing across the greater Philadelphia region, cultivating and refining his craft. As a result, his sharp wordplay and blistering delivery has garnered him a following along the American east coast and beyond. He pulls no punches - raw, energetic and unapologetic, while being brutally honest. Vance is currently working on his next project, "Doom City: Last of the Best", scheduled for a July release. "DC: LOTB" (#DOOMCITYLOTB) features STS, Ground Up, Selina Carrera, Mazon, I-Know Brasco, Jacqueline Constance and more. The visual for the title track, "Last of The Best" (produced by O Da Beat Goon), was recently released as the first single.

In addition to the music, 2013 saw Vance venture into different interests. He became a fixture as a host, and that led him to being handpicked by Crossfaded Bacon's Bo Bliz and Emynd to host "The Bounce", arguably the biggest monthly party in Philadelphia. This actually happened in November 2012, but 2013 saw Vance settle in as the full-time host for a party that had a mega following, but no distinct voice. Now, the familiar refrain "This is the Bounce!" rings throughout the walls of The Barbary every first Friday of the month. The popularity and visibility of Vance at "The Bounce" caught the attention of GL Productions, who tapped him to host the second Thursday of the new "Thursdays @ Silk" lineup, alongside DJ Beatstreet (of Wired 96.5) and DJ R to the Izza.

Vance has come an incredibly long way from 2011's "Boarding Pass: The EP". In the years since, he has released several projects, as well as helping to shape Phlight School from a MC/DJ act into a diverse musical platform. 2012's "Phlight Music" marked his first official full-length foray into the Philadelphia recording artist scene. While focusing almost entirely on performing and hosting in 2013, "Doom City: Last of the Best (The Preview)" (April) and "Doom City: Last of the Best (The Preview.5)" (July) showcased the various songs Vance had been working on, including "What They Talkin Bout" with Reef The Lost Cauze & Raak, "Insomnia" featuring LaBre Tyler & "What I Shoot For" with I-Know Brasco & Jeide Prince. The success of these projects, along with Black Cloud's (Vance, Jeide Prince, Chev V. Kaang) 2012 release "Infinite Phlight", Vance has shown the ability and acumen to hang with the top artists in the city. In a town full of elite MC's, Vance shines brightly as one of the region's most ferocious up-and-coming wordsmiths.
