When you think about business most people think suit, tie and designer money clips. In the inner-city of Milwaukee where PS was raised he was thinking triple fat goose, air max and shoe box money. Born Precious Simmons the 3rd oldest of 12 kids, 7 boys & 5 girls, he had a tough act to follow. “I always thought of myself as the one that would make it, so I did whatever it took to hold the family down.” Quickly learning that the streets could swallow you whole, after seeing both of his older brothers get locked up, he figured it’s got to be a better way, moving to Rockford, IL at age 15 he found it wasn’t much different.
Just like most inner-city youth, PS gravitated towards the streets and everything that came with it. Knowing that this lifestyle was limited, by the age of 17 he found himself in the studio with Rockford’s top record label, AT LAW ENTERTAINMENT. PS recorded a feature on AT LAW COMPILATION VOLUME 2 and a slew of singles with AT LAW ENTERTAINMENT artist/CEO SMACCMAN. With one foot in the music industry and the other foot in the streets, PS found himself in a bind that he would use as motivation. After being incarcerated at Jacksonville State Penitentiary for almost 3 years he didn’t waste time and focused on his craft.
After coming home from a 3 year stint PS knew it was time to capitalize on his name and his grind. Taking his street mentality to the business side, PS has accomplished producing two mixtapes “Hits on nutha nigga’s shit volume 1” and “BACK ON THE BRICKS: Hits on a nutha niggas shit volume 2”. Although not officially signed to a label, PS continues to move units in the Midwest area through online distribution, street team promotions and producing major artist’s concerts that place thousands of people in contact with his singles.
“Put me in the hood or put me in the office, I’m a real hustla, I make my way to the money. I can’t wait for nobody to show me nothing!”
Look for PS to drop his debut album winter 2010 “PS: THE INTRODUCTION”. Featuring the smash hit single “LIKE THIS” & “BACK TO THE MONEY”. As the CEO of TAG RECORDS, PS understands what it takes to not only make a track but how to push it. “I see myself as another player in the game. By starting TAG RECORDS I found myself in the same situation as Gangsta Haij R.I.P.(AT LAW ENT.) when he helped me. I’m just returning the favor.”

It has been rumored that PS will sign to a major record label before the year is out…but we won’t show our hand. Keep your ears open, THIS IS THE MOVEMENT!
