Bio

Life in the ghetto is hard. There are many movies and TV shows that try to depict the struggle, but none of them give an accurate picture to which the streets can relate. The lack of realism in music has plunged sales and destroyed credibility for many artists, but Steezie Nasa may be the cure for the ailing hip hop industry. Delivering a gritty flow comparable to Jadakiss with a swag like Mac Dre, P Steez is bringing back the realness in music the industry hasn't seen since the beginning of the century.
Born Joshua Bruce, Steezie Nasa has been exposed to the harsh realities of life since his younger years. Starting from his birth in Cincinnati, OH to his adolescent home in Seattle, WA, he has seen the best and the worst from coast to coast. Throughout his constant moving from state to state, one thing that stayed the same was the need to express hisself through music. "My mom was a singer when I was young, and that is what got me into music." Growing up listening to the likes of Mos Def, Steezie Nasa began to put his experiences in lyrical form at the age of 10. His passion for the craft began to take him places many have dreamed of. At the young age of 16, he began doing local shows across Seattle. His hard-edged verses about life in the hood gained momentum among his peers and hip hop lovers alike, starting a movement to represent what's real in hip hop. From this, his music has gained the attention of heavy hitters such as Waka Flocka Flame, YG 400, and others-all of which he had gotten the opportunity to open their shows and sold out his own headlined shows. Since then, he has put out a number of mixtapes and music videos including "Maintain", which is a YouTube favorite and popular on the underground circuit.
He lists Gucci Mane, Tupac, and Mac Dre as his top three inspirations that made an significant impact on his brand. "Gucci Mane is just fresh with so much swag." This image is what Steezie Nasa expects to model his career after for the next five years. "I want to embrace everything this rap lifestyle has to offer", and he is well on his way to mega-stardom.
