Bio
Chuck Moreland a.k.a. Psychoactive Sound founded Underlying Themes Records at the age of 17. Recording most of his early releases on an eight-track minidisc recorder in his parents basement. Soon after selling a few discs Chuck started upgrading, expanding, and bringing his art to a sub-dementional level.
He has a strong and diverse musical background. Performing jazz since the age of 15 playing upright and electric bass, producing and recording hip-hop and spoken word for many artists, experimenting with noise, meditating to ambience, while still rocking clubs all-night long with hard hitting dance beats.
His new cd entitled "Brain Wave Radio" is Psychoactive Sound's best work to date. He broke all genre barriers, used an arsenal of acoustic and electronic instruments, and colaborated with some amazing musicians and lyricists.
