"Review of RIDE CD"

A "Must Have" for any CD collection.....
Reviewer: R.R. De'Velee Rutt Row Records
Finally..a heavy rock band that I can't compare to anyone! Serving up a variety of style, (from love songs, to hard hitting) the sound is distinctively PSYKNYNE. Make no mistake, this is head banging, fist flying rock. Thank you PSYKNYNE, for putting your metal where your mouth is! My TOP 5 PICKS are: "Liar's Den" "Two Faces of You" "Hell" "Road To Nowhere" and "Hard To Hold" (featuring Rhonda G. from Southern Crush) - CD Baby

"It's a Psyk World CD review"

March 2006

It's a Psyk World

Sometimes you just want to get it on with some raunchy, straight-up rock -n- roll... Forget emo and the poser cookie cutter bands. Forget the metal cookie monster screams, you're just in the mood for some good old fashioned, heartfelt rock music that has a singer you can understand AND relate to! A soundtrack befitting a leather clad long grey-haired rocker slamming down his bourbon glass on the bar and putting on his helmet as he walks towards his Harley, PsykNyne's new release will take you to a place in your soul that you might not have visited for awhile, unless you are into bands like BLS or Godsmack. From the albums' opening line "Alright Bitches", uttered by edgy, small, and cute but tough-as-nails drummer Misty, to the final track "Bound and Broken" - It's a Psyk World, recorded at Goatfinger Studios by Lance Hoskins (Suckerhead), is somewhere you will definitely want to visit, and may even want to relocate to!

Grab a copy of their new disc and join Willie (guitar), Phil (bass), Scott (vocals) & Misty (drums) LIVE at SOHO's with Suckerhead and Capgun Criminals on Saturday March 25th.

"PsykNyne Review"

Central Georgia Band, PsykNyne (pronounced sick-nine) rocks bikers with their album “It’s a Psyk World”

On their website, they say, “The end product is a loud, soulful, head bobbing sound that no one will be able to relate to anything else they have in their CD cases.” And they’re right. I was trying to relate PsykNyne’s sound to something and I couldn’t. And I know my rock-n-roll.

The band is an eclectic mix of a hot rocker chick, a patriotic ax shredder, a Flea lovin’ bassist, and a big bald biker frontman. Each one brings their own flavor to the band. But there’s one thing they agree on, partyin’!

I first met Scott Selph, the motorcycle riding singer, at the Angel City Fall Rally. They had just finished filming the video for a track off their new album. Scott was cooling down with a Jager Bomb. Over his drink of choice he told me how he got his nickname, S.D.B. He said it was because Misty called him Scotty the Body. I thought it meant Some Dirty Bastard. He laughed and agreed that was fitting, too.

I picked up a copy of “It’s a Psyk World” and was immediately in love. “Pain is my Pleasure” starts out with a cool guitar riff. It’s nice and subtle in the beginning. It builds into a hard rockin’ frenzy of guitars and vocals. I had to double check the member lineup, ‘cause I didn’t know a girl could play a set of drums that hard! Misty is a cute hazel eyed girl, but when it comes to the getting’ inside that trap set, she’s all monster!

William’s guitar solos are reminiscent of a some of the solos by DimeBag Darrel. They scream and stop you right in your tracks. His guitar solos demand attention.

This album has its moments. They’re the moments that make you want to thrash out of that office chair and rock out. This album rocks.

"USRN Exclusive with PsykNyne"

(excerpt)
We recently had a chance to sit down with the guys (and gal) of PSYK NYNE before one of their recent shows in Macon. They are sponsored by Jagermeister and labeled as "Middle Georgia's Hardest Rockin' Jager Band". I first saw the band at the Fall Angel City Rally back in October. They were there to shoot their new live video from the stages in town. After hearing some of their original songs I didn't waste any time finding my way over to their manager and got my hands on one of their CD's. It's an edgy, in your face, kind of rock. Not so heavy that you don't know what the hell they are saying, but just good hard ass rock.

Bio

PsykNyne (sick-9) is the type of band that stays true to the bare bone, knuckle scraping basis of rock and roll.
Their non-stop hard rock sound will last long past trendiness and pleases all generations, losing no integrity, ala artists like Danzig, Zakk Wylde, and Steppenwolf - this quartet of "psykos" - SDB vocals - Misty on drums, Jimmy Elvis on bass, Big Willie on guitar - work hard and play hard, giving their live shows a depth that is far greater than most, always delivering an entertaining, interactive performance to the crowd to enhance the beckoning that their audio media creates.
Singer SDB will get you movin' and
a groovin' with his overdrive vocals and beefy biker
exterior while the rest of the crew bangs out turbo
tom-tom drum beats, squelching harmonic riffs and low end growling grooves to songs about outcasts of life, love and society.

Currently, the band has 2 music videos
"Road to Nowhere" - caught the attention of the biker world in a big way - resulted in landing 3 prime opener slots at the infamous Full Throttle Saloon at Sturgis SD 2007 (the worlds largest biker rally) !
"Long Haired Country Boy" video - a remake of the Charlie Daniels classic, to coincide with the release of the new album, RIDE.

September 2007 will bring a live performance video and a music video, produced by Richie of UVTV.

PsykNyne has shined at multiple outdoor music event performances and tour stops in 2007 across the Southeast and are close to a sell out of the first run of their 3rd album "RIDE" (released June 2007). Read reviews from fans on the new album on their CD Baby page !

PSYKNYNE is seeking opportunities to expose their music to more ears, perform live for potential new fans, in new markets, finalize additional sponsorships and plan future tours.

Please note that we are a hardworking, dependable, committed and sincere group of musicians and music related business pros, and we expect the same from any organization or individual that we agree to work with.
