Bio

Matthew "P.I." Bryson was born September 29th, 1986 at Rush Presbyterian Hospital on Chicago's West Side. The only son of Sylvester and Norma Bryson, it was destined from birth that his future
would be in music. Few people know that Matthew's father was a disc jockey in his earlier years while living in Arkansas. Matthew's mother
was an organist and sang in Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church's choir for 24 years. It is easy to see where his love for music came from…it's in his DNA.

Matthew's grandmother bought him his first drum set when he was 5 years old. This propelled Matthew's passion for music at a young age. He played drums morning, noon and night. Developing techniques and skills that proceeded his age. By age 6, he began playing as a backup drummer for Rising Sun.

Matthew's devotion to music carried him through elementary and middle school, going from a cadet percussionist in 3rd, to first chair in 6th grade. He finished 1st place in over 15 state competitions and lead the band to several first place titles. He finished 8th grade as one of the most elite drummers in the Midwest.

In 8th grade Matthew discovered his love for music production and the art of lyricism. He joined a multimedia group, Jade International, where he learned to cultivate his gifts. He began producing instrumental tracks and performing all over the Chicagoland area under moniker Pur Images, an artist that delivered a pure perspective. This stance helped gained momentum for his movement, because at that time, no other artist would dare stand up against the vulgarity and blatant disrespect promoted in rap music.

Matthew "Pur Images" Bryson received his first spotlight opportunity when he performed for over 3,500 people at Living Word Christian Center's Gift and Talent showcase in 2005 and rocked the house. This performance grabbed the attention of a very vast audience including world evangelist and missionary, Dr. Patricia Bailey-Jones. Dr. Bailey was very impressed with Matthew's dedication to his stance in music and invited him on a trip to Haiti and to perform in South Carolina.

Matthew graduated from St. Joseph High School and the following year, attended Columbia College where he met Marcos "Kosine" Palacios and Ernest "Tuo" Clark, President and CEO of Da Internz, LLC. Matthew's desire to learn the music business earned him a spot as Director of Promotions with Da Internz. This gave Matthew access to exclusive clubs and events all over Chicago that allowed Matthew to gain principles on success in the industry. Through this affiliation, Matthew was also propelled into a circle of elite Chicago artist, ranging from Pheave (Blackground/Universal) to Juice (Chicago freestyling legend).

Due to Matthew's involvement with Da Internz, Matthew has performed at many events in the Chicagoland area, has been featured on and has produced numerous songs for artists of all genres throughout the Midwest, and is continuing to build a fan base while maintaining his Pur Image. It is becoming more obvious that he is destined for a long, promising and prosperous career.
