PBLC (pronouced Public) have been making a stir in the San Antonio music community since 2009. It all started when two local artists joined together to find ways to combine spoken word poetry and music. The sound, predominately electronic, quickly evolved as members joined, left, and rejoined. By 2011 PBLC had been described as the lost bastardized child of Modest Mouse and Sonic Youth. After this point the five piece decided to reevaluate their sound and decided that they wanted to evolve from a guitar driven Alternative band to a more synth oriented electronica group predominately focusing on getting the crowd dancing. PBLC is currently working on a full length scheduled to be released in the summer of 2015.
