Biography

Puffer Fish is an Indie rock/ power pop band from South Central Pennsylvania. It is a four piece, guitar driven line-up. The band is reminiscent of Jimmy Eat World, Oasis, Fountains of Wayne and The Killers.

Bands that influence Puffer Fish include David Bowie, The Kinks, The Cars, The Sex Pistols, Nirvana, College radio stations, indie pop internet radio and pop music from the small bar scene.

All the members in Puffer Fish have been in various garage/ punk bands as well as cover bands over the years. Puffer Fish is an amalgam of everything they have learned from seeing other bands play and seeing the responses of audiences.

All the members had most recently been playing in cover bands but had a desire to return to writing and performing original music. The musicians learned a great deal from playing in front of audiences who enjoy variety bands. The music Puffer Fish is producing has a definite pop/ power pop edge to it that appeals to a wide audience.

Puffer Fish seeks to play in the northeastern US--primarily locales within a four our drive of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The band desires to develop a fan base within their own region and is not deluded with grandeur on some larger circuit. The musicians plan to continue recording on a regular basis and will provide the songs to their audience for free. Places to play and an audience to listen are the main concerns for Puffer Fish.
