"Sea Of Dreams Song Review"

Pulsar Radio is the brand new Space Rock project from LA-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer N8 Curtis. The multifaceted artist spent the last few years drumming on stage and in the studio with a number of popular and widely diverse bands. From the Surf Rock of Red Elvises to the Goth Metal of Christian Death, Curtis has covered the gamut of modern Rock & Roll subgenres. However, when it came time to create his solo project he landed on a Psychedelic sound inspired by Alternative and Classic Rock heroes of the genre like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, David Bowie and Bad Religion.

“Sea of Dreams” is the debut single from Pulsar Radio, released worldwide to Spotify and YouTube. The song opens on a guitar and vocal intro that pair an Indie Rock aesthetic with N8’s soulful lead vocals. That vibe of edgy Rock and Pop sensibilities persists throughout the track. However, as the song progresses layers of fuzz guitar and a driving beat reinforce the band’s deep space premise and bring to mind early Floyd classics like ‘Astronomy Domine.’ There is also a really nice guitar solo in the bridge. Meanwhile, N8 sings a mournful tale of his lost love set somewhere out to sea.

Check out “Sea of Dreams” below. You can also hear the track on the Deep Indie Dive playlist. The song will be available on all major streaming services in the coming days. It is the first single from Pulsar Radio’s forthcoming debut EP ‘Interstellar Sunday.’ Follow the links below to connect with the band and get in the loop on all of the great space music to come from the talented Mr. Curtis.  - Bob Smith @ The Static Dive.com

"The Space Rock Of Pulsar Radio"

Five words, Pulsar Radio is Space Rock!!

Talk to us about the name Pulsar Radio!

So during the summer of 2020, I was really inspired by space and there was a comet called Neowise passing by Earth during a global pandemic and a giant asteroid headed toward the earth as well. We went to go see the comet and I came across Pulsar Stars. They are dead neutron stars that emit Radio frequencies and light, hence the name Pulsar Radio. The band was created with the intention to help people think less about themselves and more about science and the universe and how we are just tiny specs in the grand scheme of everything!

Your sound is FIRE! How would you describe it?

"Interview with Pulsar Radio"

INTERVIEW WITH PULSAR RADIO

How are you feeling about this year's music you've put out so far?

Feeling very positive and receiving very positive feedback about my first Pulsar Radio single Sea Of Dreams! Also gaining some new fans and very excited to be releasing more new music in the next few weeks and into the new year!

The year is coming to an end! What are you doing in these last few months musically?

Well, very busy with lots of press and podcasts thanks to BsquaredMGMT!! Also, working on putting the finishing touches on some new singles, We Are Not Alone releasing this Tuesday October 19th! Also, performing acoustic at The Viper Room Lounge and releasing single Interstellar Sunday on November 4th!! Then have a full band show at Rock N Roll Pizza in Camarillo November 13th and another Acoustic show December 3rd at Old Towne Pub in Pasadena to close out the year!

What are you working on right now in the studio?

Putting final touches on 5 song debut EP Interstellar Sunday from Pulsar Radio! Set for release January 15th 2022!!

What are your studio sessions looking like these days?

Studio sessions are pretty chill. I have a recording studio called Estudio De Julio, named after one of our cats, at my home in LA and feel I'm very fortunate to be able to work from home!

Is it just you when you go to record or do you work with others?

I usually set up the foundation of the song and record the demo and have my friends send me their sounds or parts and fly it into the final mix. I especially had to adapt due to the pandemic and a lot of musician friends of mine either left LA or lived in another city. Sea Of Dreams features my good friend Johnny ``99" Marquez on lead guitar. I'm also now working on the next single from another awesome guitarist and good friend Leo Mintek from Nu Folk Rebel Alliance/Gogol Bordello!

Who is the person that you want to work with next whether it's putting them on a track or just producing?

Well I'm gonna be recording and playing drums on a track with my friends and prior bandmates Outernational very soon!! I'd also like to collaborate with Roger Waters or David Gilmore of Pink Floyd or any of the members of Muse!

How are you customizing your sound in your next tracks?

Trying to find as much space inspired sounds as I can and also include real sounds from Space! I'm working on sampling actual Pulsar Star sounds and incorporating it into the next EP!

How do you make sure that you're customizing your overall vision for your music?

I follow a lot of what's happening in space exploration and with what we are doing to try and save our planet. I try to include that into the sound and vision of the band. It also helps to go out and explore space on my own like going star gazing in Griffith Park. It is a truly humbling and beautiful sight to see and also inspires the sound and vision of the band very much.

What is your overall vision for yourself!?

To continue to make and release music on my own terms, do some touring, gain more fans and inspire them with positivity and Pulsar Radio's space rock sounds!

How are you leading with love with your music?

All of my music comes from the heart first and foremost and from there it expands into the science of space rock, inspiring the ears of the listeners on our planet and hopefully extending beyond the stars, our Galaxy and into the Cosmos! - Spitmad.com
