Bio

Established in September of 2002, Pulse took shape when guitarist, Marc Nazario, and drummer, Enrique "Kiko" Travieso, joined forces with singer/songwriter, Jorge Vito Lastayo, to form an alternative rock band based out of the greater South Florida area. In January of 2003, their lineup was completed with the addition of bassist Marcos Garcia. Shortly thereafter, the release of their self-produced EP album, "Somewhere In Grey" was received to unprecedented acclaim, instantly earning them recognition within the music scene. Following their release, Pulse began to headline major South Florida venues including the Factory and Churchill’s. As their fan base grew larger, their shows increased in scale, and ultimately provided them with the opportunity to open-up for national recording acts. On March 14th of 2004, Pulse made their radio debut on 94.9 Zeta with the song "It’s Wide Open." Their single, along with a corresponding interview, was aired to promote an upcoming show which included the best bands of South Florida. After the success of the show, Pulse entered a competition held by Sugarlight Productions. The contest spanned the course of several months and pooled together an eclectic mix of the finest bands South Florida had to offer. Pulse walked away victorious. With their dynamic live shows and invigorating sound, Pulse has quickly become one of the premier bands within the music scene. Their stirring live shows continue to raise the bar with every performance. In their short history, Pulse has been able to captivate its audience with their music and continues to make great strides towards bringing its appeal to the national level.
