Pulse

 Hingham, Massachusetts, USA
BandAlternativeRock

A fresh, new alternative rock experience. A unique sound with soulful singing and deep lyrics.

Biography

Pulse was born in the spring of 2010 from the solo projects of William Keough. Paul, his older brother, was already dropping sweet bass tones to his solo music. However, the idea of a singular figure in the band didn't stick with any of the members in this three piece. So after many seconds of deliberation the band chose the name "Pulse" and a new era began.

Influences include: U2, Muse, Oasis, Yes, Aerosmith, The Police, Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, The Beatles, David Bowie

Lyrics

Modest Ambition

Written By: William Keough

We all race to get to our own place,
and leave behind the ones you once embraced.
Take those sentiments, toss 'em in a case.
Cause we've all got a past to erase.
And then we look back in disgrace.
All the friends that any man could want,
but you approached them all too nonchalant.
And now you find yourself trapped in a box, watching time fly by on a clock.
And then we look back in disgrace.
How could you leave everyone behind?
Don't you know that's how you're defined?
You were so blind, that you lost your mind, now in the middle of the night you cry.
You cry.
Keep 'em close by your own volition.
Don't be blinded by your ambition.
And then we look back in disgrace.
In disgrace.
How could you leave them all behind?
Don't you know that's how you're defined?
You were so blind that you lost your mind, now in the middle of the night you cry.
You cry.
You cry.
You cry.
How could you leave everyone behind?
Don't you know that's how you'll be defined?
You were so blind, lost inside your mind, now in the middle of the night you cry.
You cry.
You cry.
You cry.
You cry.
You cry.
Cry.

Amoret

Written By: William Keough

He walked down to the waterfront, tear drops in his eyes
marched through the raunchy ruts, and through the alibis
What remains is unspeakable, by any book or law
All that’s left is your love and grace without the slightest flaw

By the river you sat and wept, and watched the red dawn as all souls slept
The tender morning and last sunset, triumph in this amoret

Across his gaze a scene unfolds, he watches it in awe
The power that came over him, begins to heat and thaw
He fell down to his battered knees, and yelled a piercing cry
“This is what I’m living for” with his arms spread to the sky

By the river you sat and wept, and watched the red dawn as all souls slept
The tender morning and last sunset, triumph in this amoret

We all seek redemption
And we all want perception
We’ll lift our spirits to the sky
And we’ll let out our piercing cry

We’ve seen him come seen him go, we’ll extol his valiancy
But this is now, this is me, Let’s walk the path righteously
By the river you sat and wept, and watched the red dawn as all souls slept
The tender morning and last sunset, theres triumph in this amoret
