We are Pulse Beat, a musical tribute to Reggae legends Steel Pulse. We perform many of the original classic songs that brought Steel Pulse to international recognition, including Handsworth Revolution, Bad Man, Prodigal Son, Rally Round, Bodyguard and numerous other hits. Pulse Beat, the brain child of Tony Brown (younger brother of Steel Pulse founding/still current member Selwyn Brown) was formed in September 2010. To date we have completed several concerts including Families For Peace in Feb 2011, Simmer Down Festival in Handsworth Park in July 2011, Jamaica Live festival in Victoria Square, B’ham and Reggae Baby Lounge at the Drum in Oct 2011. Pulse Beat is managed by Steel Pulse original members Selwyn Brown and Steve “Grizzly” Nisbett. Selwyn is also musical director and is a guest performer when he is not on tour with Steel Pulse.
