Biography

(English Version)
We are PULZ. And we play rock'n'roll. ¶ There were no plans at all when the gentlemen of PULZ met for the first time in Zurich, Switzerland, back in 1998. However, they performed several songs at a music event, they were hooked and not able to stop this thing they started. The release of the «Exit To A Spotless Sky» EP in the Summer of 2004 is a highlight in the band's career. More success followed when they won the biggest national band contest «Abart Battle Of The Bands 2005/06» after more than 100 public performances (incl. radio and TV). Currently, the gentlemen are working together with Switzerland's most in-demand producers on their debut album (scheduled for release in Spring 2009). ¶ Feel the PULZ

(Deutsche Version)
Gestatten? PULZ. ¶ Feel the PULZ

Standing (On The Northern Shore Of No Man's Land)

Written By: Oliver M. Richard

Feelin' stretched and out of power
Once again at this dead end
Frozen in this lonely hour
Tell me, Lord, is this the end?

Hope is slipping through my fingers
As well as all that I’ve achieved
My belief seems to be gettin' thinner
Give me, Lord, some time to breathe

Eli, Eli lama
Have you forsaken me?

Standing on the northern shore of no man's land
While the last ship starts settin' its sail
Feeling kind of left behind upon this sand
And this aching heart becomes so frail

Tryin' to escape from this nightmare
From this void and brokenness
Hurting scars upon my soul bare
Need you, Lord, now to caress

Eli, Eli lama
You have not forsaken me

Standing on the northern shore of no man's land
While the last ship starts settin' its sail
Feeling kind of left behind upon this sand
And this aching heart becomes so frail

Eli, Eli lama
You have not forsaken me
(No, you have not forsaken me)

Standing on the northern shore of no man's land
While the last ship starts settin' its sail
Feeling kind of left behind upon this sand
And this aching heart becomes so frail

Never Change

Written By: Daniel "Sherman" Acherman

(I'm) Walking right back from yesterday
And I got no idea what I’m gonna say
Through those clouds of old history
One thousand and one things I did see

There were the rich and the creeping poor
Big money ruled, hmmm, that's for sure
Those days of peace and years of war
And the wealthy ones got more and more

Ask you why - the snow's still white today
I ask you why - the ashes still fill the tray
Ask you why - do those things never change
I ask you why

So I head out to the garden, run away, run away
I can't bear the fact that those things never change
And long before I'll reach my last river's shore
I might see that I still stand right where I had been before

I was in Rome when they built the dome
Paid by the lords for their strength to show
They prayed to the Lord to sanctify what they
Have made for the human eye

Ask you why - the snow's still white today
I ask you why - the ashes still fill the tray
Ask you why - do those things never change
I ask you why

So I head out to the garden, run away, run away
I can't bear the fact that those things never change
And long before I'll reach my last river's shore
I might see that I still stand right where I had been before

Why's the snow still white today
And why do ashes still fill the tray
Why do those things never change
I ask you why

(So I) Head out to the garden, run away, run away
I can’t bear the fact that those things never change
And long before I'll reach my last river's shore
I might see that I still stand right where I had been before
See that I still stand right where I had been before

Ready For The Storm

Written By: Daniel "Sherman" Acherman

The wind is dead, the air lies empty / Sticky wetness on your skin
Breathing hurts and cuts right into / The siren's silent song
Time has stopped tension's floating / Gravitation's tiring
Moving hurts and cuts right into / Creation's silent dance
Creation's silent dance

I am ready for relief to come, yeah
I’m ready for what lies beyond

Ready for the storm to come
Ready for the wind to start to blow
Ready for the rain to wash away
All my dark dreams, my dark dreams
Ready for the storm to come
Ready for the wind to start to blow
Ready for the rain to wash away
All my fears, tonight

Waters sleep like eternal / Frozen mirrors on the land
Golden lights, slowly dying / From the dark clouds' mighty hands
Peaking heat, a trembling whisper / Of a burning violent sun
Leaves in motion dancing softly / To the first verse's silent drums
To the first verse's silent drums

I am ready for relief to come, yeah
I’m ready for what lies beyond

Ready for the storm to come
Ready for the wind to start to blow
Ready for the rain to wash away
All my dark dreams, my dark dreams
Ready for the storm to come
Ready for the wind to start to blow
Ready for the rain to wash away
All my fears, tonight

Seven oceans, seven seas
Send the power to release
Waves of water and cold breeze

Ready for the storm to come
Ready for the wind to start to blow
Ready for the rain to wash away
All my dark dreams, my dark dreams
Ready for the storm to come
Ready for the wind to start to blow
Ready for the rain to wash away
All my fears, tonight

Tonight, tonight
Away all my fears, tonight

Cardboard Box

Written By: Urs (O-Man) Stark

In this box, there are holes, there're little lights
In this box, you can lay, you can stand
Around this place there's nothing more than you
In a box

Burn, burn, burn
This old cardboard box
I need it no more, can't stay within
This old cardboard box
So I will burn, burn, burn
This old cardboard box
I'm gonna light it up in flames, turn it into dust
This old cardboard box

Inside you are safe, won't fear any harm
That box is with you, wanders along
Around this place there's nothing more than you
In a box

Burn, burn, burn
This old cardboard box
I need it no more, can't stay within
This old cardboard box
So I will burn, burn, burn
This old cardboard box
I'm gonna light it up in flames, turn it into dust
This old cardboard box

In a box you can hit
You can scream and shout
Struggle with doubt
You can twist and turn
Rub your ears 'till they hurt
And wade in your own tears
Wade in your own tears

Burn, burn, burn
This old cardboard box
I need it no more, can't stay within
This old cardboard box
So I will burn, burn, burn
This old cardboard box
I'm gonna light it up in flames, turn it into dust
This old cardboard box

The Last Fish & Chips

Written By: Oliver M. Richard

The PM's talking on the evening news
About those chubby kids in school
Healthy life issues versus fat abuse
Looks like he's gonna make another rule

From now on greasy food's against the law
As well as sugar and candy bars
Praised be those carrots, radishes, fruits - all raw
But not with me, Sir, kiss my arse

Now that the last fish & chips are all gone
And everyone looks like Miss Moss
The time for an underground rebel yell's come
The deep fryer needs some new gloss

Guerilla warfare is now on the move
To crush this veggie mafia
Soon everyone will dance upon the roof
To the groove of fish & chips and shout: Ee-haah!

Now that the last fish & chips are all gone
And everyone looks like Miss Moss
The time for an underground rebel yell's come
The deep fryer needs some new gloss

I can feel it comin'
I can smell it in the air
Somethin' out there is sizzlin'
In every tribe and tongue and nation
Everywhere they’re gonna say

Now that the last fish & chips are all gone
And everyone looks like Miss Moss
(Now everyone looks exactly like her)
The time for an underground rebel yell's come
The deep fryer needs some new gloss

It all depends on the occasion, the venue, the host and the audience.

A regular set of 90 minutes (including encores) might well be arranged like this:

• Spinning Mind (4-5 minutes)
• Sorry (4-5 minutes)
