This is an awesome debut from a new and upcoming band. This album is very solid...and pretty much every song brings a slightly different feel and groove, creating a balanced CD that reminds me at times of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and A Perfect Circle. Gust Great overall. 5 stars!!! - Nick Peters

"If Incubus, Tool and The Red Hot Chili Peppers had a musical orgy, blacked out, and woke up the next morning, standing there would be PUNCHFACE, the high-energy alternative rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area.
PUNCHFACE came together in 2006. Jono Beckman (Lead Guitar) and Nick Machado (Bass) and Bob Dossa (drums) posted an add on Craigslist, looking for a lead singer/songwriter. After countless auditions, and just as they were ready to give up the search, they heard from Justin Alexander who had just returned from trekking in The Himalayas, and had spent time both as a Buddhist monk and kickboxing in Thailand.
PUNCHFACE, is Justin Alexander (Vocals), Jono Beckman (Guitar), Nick Machado (Bass), and Bobby D (Drums). Bass Player Nick Machado has been hailed as one of the best young bass players coming out of the Bay Area. PUNCHFACE began playing shows all over the Bay Area in 2007, delivering explosive live performances at venues and youth centers, large and small, and have kicked off 2009 with a DIY tour through Japan, and will release its new EP "LIBERATE" at Bottom of the Hill on March 6th in San Francisco.
PUNCHFACE In late 2007, Punchface released its debut 14-track album, recorded at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, California. Several of the songs have already been featured in radio advertising and on sports videos, including the tracks "Backing Down", "Analysis Paralysis"? and "Celebrate"? which was featured in advertising for the Sarah and No Name Show on KLLC San Francisco, Alice 97.3. In late 2007, the same track “Celebrate� captured over 110,000 views on YouTube and was made by new fans made a pictorial music video of celebrations from around the world. In March, 2009, Punchface will release a new EP produced by Chris Manning (Santana, Guster, Thriiving Irory)
