Pure One

(SAN FRANCISCO, CA)—PURE ONE is the brainchild of Alexandra Crotta—who brings a captivating yet numinous approach
to her score like compositions, with an authentic, future-based fusion of
experimental electronica, dream pop, and the avant garde, her music stands out
on its own. Her debut single, “Proud of
You,” has scanned over 14,000. Characterized as having breathy vocals amid enticing
beats, with influences ranging from everyday originally recorded sounds of the
mundane such as steak falling to flatware slowly from a fork, unscrewing of
bottles, unzipping of zippers, babies cooing, breathing and kissing. Finding
subtle articulations of her early influences of artists such as How to Dress
Well, His Clancyness, and Brian Eno. “Proud
of You,” her first release, has seen airplay on local and international
radio stations and has been widely praised by listeners on a global
scale—eventually garnering the attention of Stephen Bass, founder of Moshi
Moshi Records after hearing the song on Russian radio. Other tracks such as “Si Se Puede” have been played on
various international radio stations such as Green Man Radio (UK).

Pure One is
currently working on her first album. While working at Indigital Studios in Santa Cruz, CA under the tutelage of producer Chris Cottingham who has produced albums for bands such as Vampire Weekend, Chromeo and Fleet Foxes.  Aside from Pure One, Alexandra Crotta has been mixing and mastering tracks for
the Rappin 4-Tay.

PURE ONE has
played shows with the likes of Sasha Winn of Silk Rhodes, Samantha Urbani, James
Thomas Marsh, Flex1000, Labanna Babalon, Sigrid Lauran, Monica MIrabelle,
Rezzie Avissar, The Memories, Emotional, Teams, Aezria. Her track “Proud of You” has seen airplay  on Scream Queens (Berkeley), KZSC (Santa Cruz)
and Negative Youth. She has also collaborated with Mykki Blanco “Punish Me For
Fun” and Blackbird Blackbird “Tight.”
