Kevin Campbell more commonly known as Pure Etc. started rhyming his first raps in 5th grade and hasn't stopped. Born and raised in Los Angeles he has been infused with music his whole life. Growing up in a house with extremely young parents, he was exposed to this thing we call Hip Hop out of the womb. Parliament Funkadelic, Whodini, Run DMC, Afrikabambaataa and all of the early greats influenced him. They have helped to shape who he is as an artist. Pure Etc. is a unique mix of that classic hip hop sound fused with the new. He continues to keep his ear to the grind, allowing him to stay current and unique with his incredible music knowledge and background. Originally part of the battle crew known as Metamorphosis, he received much acclaim as a standout artist in Los Angeles. He later moved on to pursue a career as a solo artist creating a sound of self described vintage hip hop with a twist of lime. As a performer he never fails to hype the crowd. He has been described as a beast on the stage, and continues to leave his fans always begging for more.
