Feeling a bit camera shy

Pure Fiction began playing in the New England area in 1999 and released a CD Demo to a limited audience. Although used primarily as a booking tool, Everyday (2000) was well received - the title track garnering significant airplay in Boston. As the band gained exposure and a following, they began moving into The Boston area clubs - playing shows at The Middle East, Bills Bar, The Linwood, The Kendall Cafe and TT the Bears. Produced by Matthew Ellard, Pure Fiction released the disc Blue October (2001) receiving very favorable reviews and added even more radio markets. The band released the follow-up, From All Sides (2003), which saw the group growing musically with the addition of more instrumentation. They completed work on the new disc One Chance which shows the band delving into new areas of swirling soundscapes and melodies. The disc was released in 2005 on Leadbrick Records. The band will be expanding itsÂ’ reach into other regional markets in the coming year.
