"Review: Purity Lost, The Revolt"

Band: Purity Lost
Song: The Revolt
Myspace URL: http://www.myspace.com/puritylost
Genre: Hardcore Metal

The Metal scene in Yakima, Wa. is freakin' unbelievable and this band definitely contributes to that factor.

"The Revolt" has a nice unique mix and timing of music and vocals. The tempo changes several times through out the song and adds a nice twist to the song. Sometimes when I listen to songs I make a video for it in my head and this song gave me visuals of the ground ripping open and the legions of hell coming out to take over. Which means I think this song is Bad as Hell!!

As you all might know by now the drums are my favorite instrument and the beats in this song are beyond bad ass. All the music is really good, I just love drums and this guy gets The Monkey claw award for an outstanding beat.

I look forward to hearing more out of this group and you should go check them out right now!!!!

Bio

"Purity Lost," is an explosive metal band dominating the Northwest music scene. With raging guitar riffs and charismatic drumming it's impossible to turn away from this 4-piece ensemble. From light speed to a trudgingly slow breakdown in an instance, their sound will draw you in then knock you out. Songs like "The Revolt" take you on a journey through shattering vocals such as, "Your heart is almost bleeding," and, "Crush, Kill Destroy," to submissively syncopated rhythms entrained with spontaneous licks and fills. All of these and more bleed from the awesome intensity of "Purity Lost's" live performances.
Purity Lost has been all but unstoppable, landing a slot on the Nationally released compilation for the "Project Independent Tour" distributed by Century Media, as well as a major slot on the tour. "Purity Lost" has been demolishing the stage with some of the Northwest's finest bands and shows no signs of slowing down. This band knows and has what it takes to go to the next level. A professional attitude towards their music and a hunger for something more.
