YOU TELL ME DONT LIE, ON THE FLOOR. YOU SAY “PUT DOWN YOUR WORDS, SHOW ME WHAT WE’RE FIGHTING FOR. LOOK CAN YOU GIVE ME ANSWERS, TO ANYTHING AT ALL? JUST GIVE ME ANSWERS, MY WORLD’S ABOUT TO FALL.”

LOOK A SOLDIER DONT LIE, NOT ANYMORE! SIR IM PUTTING DOWN MY GUNS UNLESS YOU TELL ME WHAT IM FIGHTING FOR! WELL CAN YOU GIVE ME ANSWERS? JUST ANYTHING AT ALL? GIVE ME ANSWERS, THE STORMS ABOUT TO FALL NOW.

SIR, JUSTICE AND REVENGE ARE DIFFERENT THINGS. TAKE A LITTLE STEP BACK AGAIN, CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS? WELL CAN YOU GIVE ME ANSWERS TO ANYTHING AT ALL? JUST GIVE ME ANSWERS, WE STAND AND NOW YOU FALL, CAUSE YOU KNOW YOU’VE BLOWN IT.

The Garden State

1000 MILES IS SUCH A LONG WAY TO WALK, YOU'VE LEFT ME HERE, YOU KNOW I THINK I’M STRUGGLING.

AND DISTANCE TRIES TO KILL ALL THE THINGS WE LOVE, BUT A FLICKERING FLAME IS STILL A FLAME NONETHELESS.

AND YOU SAID “WHY CAN’T WE JUST STAY A LITTLE LONGER HERE?”

I SEEN YOUR FACE WHILE TRAVERSING THROUGH THE LANES,
WHEN WE PARTED WAYS IN DUBLIN.
AND THE TEARS THAT FELL WERE LIKE CRYSTAL DROPS OF RAIN,
THIS IS A LONG LONELY ROAD, A LONG LONELY ROAD.

AND YOU SAID “WHY CAN’T WE JUST STAY A LITTLE LONGER HERE?”
AND YOU SAID “WHY CAN’T WE JUST STAY FOREVER HERE?”

BECAUSE IT’S SUCH A LONG WAY, SUCH A LONG WAY, SUCH A LONG WAY, SUCH A LONG WAY.

IT’S SUCH A LONG WAY, SUCH A LONG WAY, SUCH A LONG WAY, SUCH A LONG WAY.

IT’S SUCH A LONG WAY TO THE GARDEN STATE. IT’S SUCH A LONG WAY TO THE GARDEN STATE.

AND YOU SAID “WHY CAN’T WE JUST STAY A LITTLE LONGER HERE?”
AND YOU SAID “WHY CAN’T WE JUST STAY FOREVER HERE?”
