Bio

A sonic collision in the middle of America, Push To Start came together in the musical hotbed of Omaha, Nebraska. The five members - Colton, Evan, Gabe, Matt and Nate - all bring something to the table, all equally strong and no one overpowering the others.

The vocals of Colton reverberate through listeners, stunning them with truth and power. Evan and Gabe team up to throw down some of the strongest riffs this side of the Mississippi. Funk and rhythm flow from Matt's fingertips as he carries the bass line. Energy abounds from Nate as he lays a drum-based sonic assault on the crowd. This is one show the crowd will never forget.

From all regions of the country - Nebraska, Arizona, St. Louis and Chicago - the guys of Push To Start met at Creighton University. After jamming with one another, the five decided to record some songs they had been working on. "Brown Eyed Bullet," "Change," "5 Months" and "Kiss and Tell" all came from that first recording session with Curtis Grubb (of Grasshopper Take Over fame). Quickly building up a loyal fan base, Push To Start began to play local venues, eventually spreading to surrounding cities, including Lincoln, Nebraska, where they shared the stage with Static Cycle.

While relatively young, the guys of Push To Start show no signs in letting up anytime soon. Working to finish their first album, they guys continue to play gigs and work on new music, as well as perfect older songs.

More than the great music, however, is the band's ability to laugh at one another. Colton has a hidden enjoyment of pop music - leading the other guys to refer to the band as "Breaking Benjamin with Miley Cyrus." Matt's desire to play a show in a t-shirt and boxer shorts has made the other guys keep a close watch on his official on-stage apparel. Nate is the "Ricky Bobby" of the group, wanting to go fast in everything he does, from eating to drumming. And guitarists Evan and Gabe - well, they are guitarists. Enough said.
