There is nothing I want to do more than tell the kids don’t’ be like me be better than me. I want to tell them why selling drugs is not cool but be a lawyer or doctor. I never finished high school but that doesn’t mean u shouldn’t. It’s my duty to tell them the truth and what’s right because I lived that life. I want to be that person people look up to in my community. In his own words Pymp says, “I am a real person and the things I talk about are real”. A lot of Artist are never what they same to be. Pypm’s music and up bringing stems from being raised by a single mother in a society of get it how you can. Adopted at an early age made Pymp different from most kids and he learned to be a risk taker. Pymp parents also used drugs which my have made him feel that it was acceptable human behavior.

Through all his struggles and hardships Pymp managed to put his life of selling drugs, neighborhood shootouts, countless robberies into his music. Pymp grew up listening to Too Short, JT Money, and also Hard Head & NIP local Delray Rap Stars. He managed to ink a deal early in his career with Casablanca Records, which allowed him to open up shows for Snoop Dogg, Total & 702, which are all west coast, based artist. He received early success when a song called “Player Mentality” was on an album, which sold 300,000 units. Pymp was quickly sidelined when he was sentenced to 2 years in prison. After he was released he started his own label and started collaborating with indie labels like Hard Hitters, Beat Down Records to take his music on a national scale.
