Pyrite have burst forth onto the Sydney music scene in 2007, the amalgamation of a group of mates who have been playing music together in one form or another for years. Rising from the ashes of Marching Dust (featuring Paddy Gibson on vocals, Pyrite is the future.
Pyrite are a fine blend of four very different and diverse tastes. Unable to be pigeon-holed into any one genre, Pyrite produce many songs in many different styles. From prog rock riffs, to neat ballads, to balls out rock. With influences ranging through Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Rage against the Machine, Tool, Bob Marley and Neil Young, Pyrite are guaranteed to bring some life to the party.
