Bio
To know who Q.Rock639 is, you have to rewind the tape and learn about his alter ego, Laron Cue.
Laron Cue has been involved in the music industry for 15 years, starting off as a assistant engineer in New York City. He worked behind the boards with some of the worldâ¬â¢s best producers and engineers. This hands on knowledge has given him a perspective few others have. While learning his craft at such legendary studios as Soundtrack Recording, Firehouse Recording, Quad Studios, and Quantum Recording Studios, he was also being educated in the world of music management. His exposure to record labels, producers, artist, managers and promoters helped to round out his learning experience.
After that, Cue was signed to a production company, Millennium Music Inc., and served as A&R for the company owned dance record label, Gossip Records. This is where he began to produce music for the labels roster as well as scout for talent. Soon he was managing the labels hip-hop acts, booking shows and studio sessions. The label began to prosper and Cue began to get recognition as a up and coming figure in the industry.
The labels top acts were soon signed by another production group and Cue branched out on his own, making break beats for AV8 Records, holding residency with Wreck Room Entertainment (DJ Frank Delour) in clubs like Club Speeed, Cheetah Club, Vanity Bar and Limelight, and starting his own production company The Groove Getters, with partner Juan â¬ÅKatoâ¬? Lemus.
The two began producing a string of independent dance songs as well as working on post production for advertising campaigns, most notably Cueâ¬â¢ work for a Budweiser commercial and Katoâ¬â¢s work on another Budweiser spot and a McDonalds campaign. The two enjoyed success, but personal family matters called Cue away for a brief period.
After a brief vacation from the industry, Cue return with his poetry CD release, â¬ÅUrban Avant Garde-Live at the Nuyorican Poets Caféâ¬?. The live recorded CD was one of his most ambitious projects, as he put together a group of poets and recorded them live at the famous poetry venue. With satisfactory sales of the indie project under his belt, Cue began laying the foundations for his next project, Kayaro Incorporated.
Now with the lath clear to relase the inner emcee, Q.Rock639 is ready to re-emerge with the upcoming "Attack Of The Greay Beards" CD. It's sure to be a underground sleeper as Q.Rock launches a pure rap attack of heat!
