Quante’ Mr. R and B wins A&R Music Summit in New York City


Quante’ aka Mr. R and B A preliminary event for the Underground Music Awards to be held in New York City, the A&R summit attracted hundreds of artist from all over the world.

Quante’ Eggleston aka “Mr. R and B”, won the event earning him well deserved recognition and features in up coming editions of XXL Magazine, YoRaps and The Source.

"Quante's showmanship and stage presence are incredible. He's a true artist," raves Octavius Crouch, A&R of Universal Records.

He won the Best R&B Male Artist Award at the 2010 Underground Music Awards and is nominated again in 2011. He is also nominated for the Best Overall Performance this year.

Quante’ was born in Baltimore Maryland. As a young boy, his family would pay him a few dollars to perform at his grandmother’s poker and pinochle games. At age 14 he joined the choirs at school and church.

He entered the military in 2000 and served four years in the marines and the army for an additional three. Quante’ entertained his fellow troops and won every talent show he entered.

His fresh and soothing voice combined with inviting lyrics raises eyebrows everywhere he performs. “Music is an art form.” Said Quante “It’s a form of expression and I like expressing life through it.”

Quante’ moved to Savannah, Georgia in 2007 to explore the surge of the South’s movement in the music scene. He performed at area showcases in Savannah and Atlanta, winning many of them. He began to devote more time to his music and added to his repertoire.


In 2010, Mr. R and B committed to making music his career. He created more original music and became an Ambassador for U Hatin?® University (UHU), an organization that promotes positive behavior by neutralizing hate.

He collaborated with artists Sir Wine and DuRanD creating what has become UHU’s theme song Change This World Together. Quante’ was nominated for independent R&B artist of the year at the 2010 Southern Entertainment Awards. He was featured and starred in the music video with Steeley, titled “Put it On You.”

REGAL, SOULFUL, POWERFUL AND LYRICAL; Those are the words that best describe rising young R&B star Quante' Mr. R&B. He hails from Baltimore, MD but he's currently residing in Georgia. Quante' is being touted as "The New Prince of R&B" by many music industry insiders. He elegantly unites the classic soul of yesterday with the hip sounds of today's R&B. The dynamic singer/songwriter spins stories of love, lessons learned, conflict and resolution.

He beat out 10 other artists to come in first place.

Quante' sites R. Kelly, Usher, Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke as some of his influences. His Philosophy is "Do What You Know." And it is apparent that Quante' knows R&B very well.

2011 brought paid performances and earned recognition. He won the A&R summit in New York City and is nominated for “Best Performance” and “Best R&B Male” for the Underground Music Awards to be decided on in August. He will be featured in upcoming editions of XXL Magazine, The Source, YoRaps and more. Quante is what music is in human form..... in 2013 he plans on releasing several music videos and records, look out for Quante Mr R&B this year is his!!!
