Craig Harrison, Dave Sutherland and Kati Durst got together and started writing music after Kati garnered national attention placing tenth on the fourth season of Canadian Idol. All long time friends having grown up together in the same small town, Dave and Craig had been playing in bands together for years including an exalted classic rock cover band and the Nighthawks at the Diner, a tribute to Tom Waits. Meanwhile, Kati played alongside longtime family friend, mentor and songwriter, Jeff White.
With new enthusiasm and a new direction, the trio have been writing, recording, and defining their music ever since. Playing for audiences from 20-1000 across southwestern ontario, Quarter Mile Lane is set to release their first EP in early 2009. Drawing influence from folk, country and rock, their upbeat toe tappers and slow emotional ballads will leave your feet moving and your soul inspired.
