"Cracking West Omaha Bars with Original Music by Marq Manner"

Omaha band Quartus has been playing between Omaha and Sioux City for much of the past decade. The band is currently getting a lot of attention in Omaha as they recently won a hotly contested "battle of the bands" for an opening slot at the Cox Classic golf tournament's infamous 19th Hole. The 19th Hole is an outdoor beer garden party that attracts thousands of beer drinking revelers during the tournament.

The band has also been pulling in crowds at many of the west Omaha bars and ultra lounges, places where few original music artists end up. This is a band with plenty of original material as they have put out two discs of music and a live album. They are a mix of pop, funk, jazz, rock and jam. The band also plays covers and mixes them in and jams them out in their own unique way, as their extensions are infused with lots of horn and rhythm. They are not put off by comparisons to the Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer or other artists of that ilk, as that is what they are influenced by.

The band is currently pushing their Cinco De Mayo Celebration at the Whiskey Roadhouse on Wednesday, May 5. I recently talked with the band as they were sound checking for a gig at the Tropics. It was a hurried affair as the room was filling up and the members of Quartus needed to get their gear in check as this is not a plug and play type band. - Omaha City Weekly.com April 21- 27, 2010

On Saturday, July 3rd, Quartus will be playing at Village Pointe for their Vibes Summer Concert Series!

Quartus brings together a unique blend of rock, unlike anything else in the region. Hard to classify musically, their sound oozes of rock, jazz, blues and funk. Melting great lyrics over tasty grooves, it's easy to see why the band has made big waves in such little time. Quartus always give back more to its fans, so be sure to bring a friend because for every CD purchased (CDs are $10) you'll get a CD for free!
