Bio

Quenton Rubin, known to friends as Que, was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Que has been playing guitar from a very young age. He started breaking the rules as a early as twelve, by gigging in establishments that were 21 plus! He went on to study music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Like many artists before him, he hot tailed it to NYC, slept in the street, hopped the subway and lived on a potato-chips-and-water diet before landing his first big gig. He toured with Keith Sweat, Melissa Morgan and Gerald Levert.

Recently he collaborated on a record with George Clinton called P in the Funk and was direct support for the P in the Funk 2004 tour.

Que is now venturing out on his own with his first solo project entitled Poor Little Rich Boy, on the independent Dayton, Ohio-based label AME. The new album was produced by the production team of Al Sutton (Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Hank Williams, Jr.) and Marlon Young (Dan Huff, Evan & Jaron, Dave Matthews) and with LA producer/mixer Peter Mokran (Christina Aguilera, Maxwell, Pussycat Dolls).

Beyond being an accomplished guitar player, Que's musical talents include piano, bass, songwriting, producing and a strong ability to make you feel and believe a story through his vocals. With the birth of his solo project, Que plans to take his guitar playing to the next level incorporating Rock & Roll and integrating the old and new styles of music to create something fresh.

"Being able to incorporate different styles of music into mine is what I think allows me to be different," says Que. "Breaking the rules. It's all about the feeling."
