Charlotte’s Queen City Siren brought their high-energy rock to Clemmons, and we hope they make the trip north again very soon. Terrible weather kept the crowd away early, but it eventually filled in nicely as show time approached.
Opening songs are crucial choices, and Queen City Siren chose wisely by opening with Queen’s “Tie Your Mother Down,” a song with a great show-starting intro, that set the tone for the night. Following that with Def Leppard’s “Photograph” was another excellent choice. The band played some very interesting songs to we’ve never heard covered before, including Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl” and “Whipping Post” by The Allman Brothers. Mac the guitarist did a great job covering the keyboard part while simultaneously channeling his inner Duane Allman. No lead singer we've seen worked the crowd more. Cat was all over the venue, standing on furniture and dancing with people all night long. There’s not a note she can’t hit. Mac also visited the crowd often during the show.
Most song choices were upbeat and played very well. They sampled many eras and genres by covering No Doubt, Alice In Chains, Alanis Morisette, Katrina & the Waves and a heavy dose of Led Zeppelin. While Blind Faith’s “Can’t Find My Way Home” was a nice deep cut, the crowd either didn’t know it or just wasn’t into it. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine” are both songs that we consider overplayed, but both had the dance floor busy and the crowd rockin'. We hoped for a bit of heavier material in set 2 and we got it when they ended the show with Metallica's “Seek And Destroy” and Black Sabbath's “War Pigs.” The closing tunes were as good as the opening tunes. From beginning to end, Queen City Siren was impressive in all facets, so don’t miss them when they come your way! - NCcoverband Reviews

Queen City Siren at Amici's on 4/29/23
This is a fun band. They interact with the audience by getting down off the stage and joining those who came out to support, They have a great set list which is perfect for Cat's strong vocals. The drummer leads the show with his great tempo and the bass and guitar player drive this show home with their strong tight playing! This is a must see band and most definitely goes on our list of bands you must see.
