Bio

In the early hours of the New Year, Vocalist Nicholas Brooks departed from his exceptionally successful former band, It Dies Today, fresh off an entire summer on the Ozzfest Second stage. His heart and mind followed his musical passions as well as his friends, Singer/Songwriter Andrew Reimers, Zak Collins, Corey Dibiase, Raymond Lampke and Matt Folger. Queen City Station was born Early in January 2007, hovering in and around the winter tundra known as their beloved hometown of Buffalo, New York.
Queen City Station consists of six souls capable of obtaining anything they wish. If ever there was a message conveyed by artists and musicians, Queen City Station’s moniker is a musical account of the emotions of belief and hope. Losing and gaining. Failure and promise. Love and bewilderment. Music and friends. Wine and words. Each member has tasted some ethereal presence of strength and weakness. Finding a common bond in their musical endeavors. Meeting in a time where passion and creativity far outweighed personal pursuit and prosperity, Queen City Station is the unabashedly poignant output of musical sentiment.
Like their musical contemporaries, Queen City Station make roots rock n’ roll sliding down a warm path towards country and wondrously loud enough to be never be considered tame. Like Springsteen, they shine a light on better days in a nowhere town. Like Whiskeytown and Lucero, Queen City Station opens their heart, chest open, without blinking and pours the contents of their lives together, into a solution of beautiful words and melodies with flashes of yesterday, the present, and the future. Wildly original with their hat tipped towards their friends and musical inspirations, Queen City Station is ready to take the stage while you take a spot at the bar or in the crowd to listen, feel and love.
